Bounce House Safety Tips Every Port St. Lucie Parent Should Know

Bounce houses are the highlight of every kids' party — but a safe party is a fun party. Whether you rent from us or anyone else, these are the safety rules we stand behind at every Bounce A Lot 772 setup in Port St. Lucie and the Treasure Coast.

1. Always have adult supervision

A bounce house should never be left unsupervised while kids are inside. Designate one adult as the "bounce monitor" — it makes all the difference.

2. Respect age and size limits

Every inflatable has a recommended age range and capacity. Our Pink Castle Combo, for example, is a favorite for younger kids' birthdays, while our 22ft water slides are built for bigger, confident swimmers. Keep similarly sized kids together — toddlers and teenagers shouldn't bounce at the same time.

3. Watch the Florida weather

This one's big for us. Afternoon thunderstorms roll through Port St. Lucie fast, especially in summer. If you hear thunder or see lightning, get kids out of the inflatable immediately and deflate it. High winds are just as dangerous — never operate a bounce house in gusty conditions.

4. Shoes off, sharp objects out

No shoes, no jewelry, no keys, no sharp objects. Bare feet or socks only. It protects both the kids and the vinyl.

5. No flips or roughhousing

Flips, wrestling, and climbing the walls or netting are the fastest route to an injury. Set the rule before the first kid goes in: bounce, don't battle.

6. Keep the blower running and anchored

The blower must stay on the entire time kids are bouncing, and the unit must be properly anchored. That's why professional setup matters — we stake down every unit and sandbag on hard surfaces.

7. Stay hydrated and take breaks

Florida heat is no joke. Set up a shaded rest area with water nearby (ask us about tent rentals) and rotate kids through in groups.

Frequently asked questions

Are your bounce houses cleaned between rentals?
Yes — every unit is cleaned and inspected before it goes out.

Can adults go in the bounce house?
It depends on the unit. Some of our larger combos are great for teens and adults — ask us about the specific unit you're renting.

What should I do if the blower stops?
Get the kids out calmly, check that the blower is still plugged in and the outlet has power, then call us at 772-801-7126.
